Duskpool looked from Foxwing to Blazepaw. "We can't do anything else, it's up to the medicine cat and StarClan now," he murmured softly.
Shadepaw crouched in the SmokeClan leader, Lightstar's den, muscles tense. He looked at Whisperpaw. "We didn't do anything wrong, except cross the border, but it was only to help that cat. She could have died if we hadn't come along to help carry her," he growled softly, half to himself, half to Whisperpaw, almost as if to reassure himself. "What will Swiftstar say when she finds out?" he thought aloud. He got up from his crouch and started pacing back and forth, his tail swishing gently. Waiting for Lightstar was horrible.

Spottedpaw was disgusted in how little the warrior cared that she was breaking the warrior code. She pulled her lips into a snarl at the threat. "Oh, so now I can say you're threatening me as well?!" she hissed after the obviously annoyed warrior. Or was the anger coming from the knowledge that she knows she'd done something wrong? Spottedpaw shook her head. She turned her attention to the commotion in camp, particularly around the medicine cat den. Clanmates had began to gather in clusters around the entrance, whispering to each other in hushed tones. |

Lightstar walked into her den and stared at Shadepaw and Whisperpaw.
"Explain," she mewed.
Mousetail glared at the apprentice, "You're awfully stupid." She turned on her paws and walked out of camp, not looking back.

Lionclaw sniffed the air, it was an old scent of her. He let out a sigh and descided to wait, turning and hiding in the underbrush.

Shadepaw found himself at a loss for words. But he took a deep breath and plunged into the story.
"She was hurt, Lightstar... She might have died. We were just trying to help. And the only reason we were there was because I was taking Whisperpaw out to show her around the borders. We're sorry we crossed the border, but I feel that we shouldn't be punished, at least not too badly, because our intentions were good. We are truly sorry for crossing the border, Lightstar, and I'm sure it won't happen again," he finished, taking another deep breath and giving Whisperpaw a look to encourage her to agree. He knew he shouldn't feel that bad for crossing the border; it wasn't that big of a deal, was it? But he did feel bad...

Spottedpaw glared after the ignorant cat. How could she just go and break the warrior code like that? Her piercing eyes followed after Lightstar's daughter, and her tail lashed back and forth. Spottedpaw decided she'd tell Lightstar, but not just yet. After I can prove she's doing something wrong, she figured. She'd need some advice on this, but seeing as she had no mentor, she had no one to really talk to. No one seemed to notice her presence much, so no one was her friend either...
She padded up to the entrance of the leader's den, but stopped as she could hear voices from within. She tasted the air and CliffClan scent swept over her senses. She bit back a growl, since obviously Lightstar was taking care of it. She sat down, her bushy tail curling over her paws. She'd have to wait until Lightstar had time for an apprentice like herself. |

"Oh, hi Leafdapple," Spottedpaw greeted the warrior. She was glad the older cat noticed her, without having to grab the attention for herself. "I'm waiting for Lightstar to become available," she explained, motioning toward the entrance with her bushy tail. "Would you know why CliffClan cats would be on our territory?" she asked, hoping to gather some information in the meanwhile. |

Whisperpaw's vocal chords were in a knot. She was just about to meow in agreement, but all that came out was an odd squeak. She contented herself with nodding a lot, Shadepaw's words made sence. Whisperpaw was glad he was here.

Spottedpaw nodded slowly at Leafdapple's reply. It seemed she wouldn't get to know much other than that. A squeak pulled her back to her senses, as an uncomfortable cat apparently tried to speak. |

Mousetail swung her head around, "Who's there?" Her hiss melted into a purr when she saw Lionclaw. "Lionclaw!" She smiled, "I've missed you." She rubbed her head on his shoulder.
