"Just a minute, Dingopaw. I'll speak with you later." The leader sat up and took a breath, the meowed, "I'm fine, Brownfur." He then turned back to the apprentice. "Here's something for you to do. Go with Leopardnose and Wildflower to get Kitepaw's body. We'll see about a crimony for you tomorrow." The leader padded back to his den and laid down in the cool moss and began to lick the blood from his fur.

Dingopaw dipped his head respectfully, and turned to his mother who looked distrought.
Wildflower looked to Leopardnose, and then back to her son. A weak mile on her face as she looked towards the path that lead to the cliff.

Lepardnose's head shot up when she heard her name. Her ears twitched and focused on the voice. It was Ghoststar, saying that she, Wildflower, and Dingopaw were to go get Kitepaw's body. She nodded slowly and padded over to Wildflower, resting her tail on the she-cat's shoulder to try to comfort her. NightClan had been faced with a terrible loss.
"I guess we can go then," Brownfur mewed to Petalfall. "But I would like to be back soon, if you don't mind. I'm just worried..." She couldn't make herself say what she was thinking. Brownfur knew Moon could come back. With a flick of her tail she brushed off the thought. "Ready?" She forced a light tone and gentle gaze as she spoke to Petalfall. But inside it felt like she was shaking.

Wildflower gave her friend a sad smile, "Okay, let's go get Kitepaw." Th deputy whispered.
Dingopaw padded affter his mother and Leopardnose, keeping keen eyes as she stared into the forest.

"Would you like to lead?" Leopardnose whispered softly to Wildflower, slowing her pace. Up until then she hadn't even noticed that her claws were extended, digging into the dirt, waiting for another attack. When "loyal" cats murdured eachother, what could happen to the Clan? For once in her life, Leopardnose had no idea who to trust and who to fear.

" Sure." Wildflower smiled greatfully, and lead the way into the forest. Dingopaw taking up the rear of the group. Wildflower's eyes stung with tears when she picked up, not too stale, scent of Moon and Kitepaw. Here it goes the she - cat thought. Her eyes scanned the path, looking for a way to go to the base of the cliff. She found the way, a treked down, leading her patrol.

Her eyes scanned the path, looking for a way to go to the base of the cliff. She found the way, a treked down, leading her patrol. Leopardnose followed Wildflower quietly through the forest and to the rocky cliffs. She could see the shimmer of Wildflower's eyes when they neared the place where Kitepaw had fallen. Pushed, the warrior reminded herself. Moon had pushed him.It hurt her to think that the she-cat she had trusted so much had become a traitor to the Clan. She had broken the warrior code and gone against StarClan and Ghoststar. Loyalty seemed so much more important now. To get to the bottom of the cliff she scrambled down a path of uneven rocks. Balance and grace were not some of her skills. But it was at the bottom when she thought she would collapse. Kitepaw's broken body struck her like a warrior's blow.

Wildflower drew in a sharp breaht, as she saw her kit's body. Why did Moon do this, why not her instead of her kit. At least she would be with Flamerriver, bu to take the life of an innocent apprentice just sickened her. She carefully grabbed Kitepaw's scruff, while Dingopaw grabbed the tail.

Petalfall nodded and padded through the camp entrance. She went down to the river for a short drink, then waited to hear what herbs Brownfur needed.
The black and brown tom stood silently in the calm and shallow part of the river, washing the blood from his fur. He saw two she-cats farther downstream, but he was certain that he couldn't be seen by them.
((Oh, I need someone to find Wetfur's body in the forest, if that's okay.))

((Maybe Mystery can come find Petal, Brownfur, and Wetfur after the flood?))
"I'm so sorry," Leopardnose managed to whisper. The sight of Kitepaw's body stung her eyes and she could hear Wildflower's breathing near her. "May StarClan light his path."
Brownfur followed Petalfall out of the camp with worry shadowing her caramel eyes. The murdur had brought her back to reality; life was never perfect in NightClan. You could never be worry-free for long, if ever. Because it wouldn't last. "Do you see any Watermint, Petalfall?" The she-cat asked quietly. Then rain started following. It was slow and steady at first, like a heartbeat, but then it became faster and harder. But it wasn't anything Brownfur wasn't used to - you had to adapt to all sorts of weather when you lived in the forest - so she paid no attention to it.

Wildflower smiled greatfully at Leopardnose, "He would have been a great warrior." She chocked out, the words stung her throat.

((I don't think I ever got an answer when I asked if Dewwing could have a prophecy about Thunderscar coming back.))
Fogpool laid down in a patch of sunlight shining through a tree. She breathed deeply and licked the fur on her chest to smooth it down. As she groomed herself, she noticed that he belly was getting bigger. "It won't be long now." she said quietly while smiling.

"Oh, there's some," Petalfall called over the sound of the rain pounding on the ground. A sudden reddish color appeared in the river, sticking out among the dark blue water. Blood...? Petalfall thought. She shook the thought away along with the rain on her whiskers and carefully waded to the opposite bank to get the watermint for Brownfur.

((We'd love for you and your Koritasticness to join NightClan. xD There's no limit to how many cats can be in a Clan, so go ahead.))
"Oh, good!" Brownfur exclaimed cheerily, putting the recent murdur out of her mind for the time being. "I was worried we wouldn't be able to find any." As she bounded toward the river in search of another clump of herbs, she caught a flash of muddy red. Wondering what it could be she turned toward the water. And then a roaring sound filled her ears and a huge wave came toward her. She tried to make herself move but there was no hope. The water came like lightning, growing with the speed of the current. Before she could even blink it had washed over her, taking her with it.

"Brownfur!" Petalfall yelled. The she-cat's cry was drowned out by the roar of another wave heading straight towards her. Petalfall's attempt to gasp in horror was stopped when water rushed over her, soaking her fur with a cold chill.

Jaggedfur quickly started to follow a scent out of the camp. It was sweet, warm, and seemingly new until he realized he knew the scent. At first it seemed to be just a nice plump piece of prey, but his heart told him otherwise. After a while he didn't even realize where he was headed until screeches and yowls from two legs and their monsters crashed his ears. What am I doing here of all places? He wondered.

Gypsy ran out of her house, jumping over the fence quickly as a strange twoleg came and threw a flower pot at her. She jumped down from the top of the fence, licking her ruffled fur as she looked down at her purple collar. She looked around, heading towards the woods then for some better life.

"Brownfur!" Petalfall yelled. The she-cat's cry was drowned out by the roar of another wave heading straight towards her. Petalfall's attempt to gasp in horror was stopped when water rushed over her, soaking her fur with a cold chill. A voice entered Brownfur's mind. It sounded familiar but she couldn't remember where or when she had heard it. The voice grew louder and louder until she could make out the words. It was the prophecy from the Moonriver. It all made sense. The flash of reddish-brown had been the blood, and the river was taking her life. In a way she felt comforted. StarClan had known this would happen, and Foxwhisper would become NightClan's full medicine cat. She could join her ancestors peacefully, knowing that her Clan would be looked after. At sunset Mysterysong padded out into the forest. Newleaf was beautiful and she wanted to enjoy the birds' songs, the green leaves, and the soft grass and moss under her white paws. The rain had slowed almost to a stop but the bank of the river was flooded. She bounded down to it to get a better look. A small brown figure lay there, its fur plastered to its cold body. She recognized Brownfur almost right away. "Brownfur?" Her voice was scarely even a whisper. The medicine cat did not reply, and Mysterysong knew that Silverpelt would have another star that not.
