Flowerheart raced back to camp. She had reluctantly left Steadyleaf to deal with the badger. It was getting late. She had to let someone know right away. She ran to the warriors den. She'd tell Silentstar in a moment, or ask a another cat to tell her. Stepping inside she said, "Someone help me!"

[snowy.]

((Well, I guess we're coming at the wrong time )

Snowpaw ran as fast as she could with the kit in her mouth. Wildpelt, Frostwish, and Auburnstar were not very far behind. The NightClan scent was fresh here... along with badger scent. Badger? Snowpaw stopped in her tracks.

"Wildpelt?" Snowpaw's voice shook. "There's a badger here, too. We can be badger chow, Sharptooh prey, or NightClan captives, you choose."

[—ƒrostyy—]

"Personally, I'd like to be NightClan captives at this point. At least they won't kill us." I voiced my opinion and shook myself.
"But we should help," I went on. "If we do, then they'll, hopefully, be grateful and let us stay in their camp for a bit. Or drive out Sharptooth. There aren't too may of us besides. We can't face a badger or Sharptooth ourselves. But we can help NightClan drive a badger out."

When no one awakened, Flowerheart ran back into the woods. She hoped that someone was helping Steadyleaf until she got there.
((Wink, wink, cough, cough,. Here I come!))

[steadykit]

Steadyleaf snuck up behind the badger, then silently and swiftly launched himself onto the badger's back, and clawed his way toward its neck. He was just about to bite down, when the badger flung him off. Steadyleaf flew through the air and hit a tree. He started to feel pain, but he had to keep fighting. He was about to leap onto the badger again, when a new scent reached his nostrils. And it was coming closer, and closer, until a few cats burst through the bushes, holding kits in their mouths. ForestClan!

((alright. I might powerplay you a little but I won't over do it))

( Oh. Em. Gee! What are you going to do to us? ahhh. I all alone! )
I stared at the cat that saw us.
"Is the badger nearby?" I asked, scenting the wound scents flowing from the cat's pelt.
"We can help. We don't want trouble." I stepped forward, my head held high.

[steadykit]

"Yeah, it's nerby. In fact, it's coming this way!" Steadyleaf ran but the badger chased him. It had him cornered and was about to crush him with its paws when a cat leaped off the ridge above him and landed on the badger. Flowerheart! The she-cat scratched the badger's eyes, sending it into a blind rage. All the cats, including the ForestClan cats, chased the defensless badger out of NightClan territory. "Thank you." Steadyleaf meowed, turning to the others. "I'm Steadyleaf, and this is Flowerheart."

"Greetings," I mewed, not caring if they knew we needed help. "I'm Frostwish, and this is Snowpaw, Wildpelt, and Auburnstar. Sharptooth, the evil mountain cat, has invaded our territory and we need help."

I took a deep breath, "We hadn't known a Sharptooth could survive in our woodland, so we hadn't expected it to come for us. We just barely escaped, out of a secr--" I stopped, not wanting to share the secret with the NightClan cats. "Secluded bramble bush." I finished, heaving a sign of relief.

I glanced at my sister and breathed a sigh of relief as she covered up our secret.
"So now, the question is," I turned to the NightClan cats, "will you help us?"

Goldenheart followed the badger scent but there was something else. ForestClan! When she got there, she realized the badger was gone, and heard that Steadyleaf was thanking the ForestClan cats. "What happened?" she asked, startled.

I looked at Goldenheart. I recognized her from Gatherings.
"We need help. May we stay on your territory for a while?" I answered, glancing warily at Steadyleaf and Flowerheart.

I looked over to Frostwish, who was glacing around like a blind, and befuddled badger. "Goldenheart," I acknowledged her with a dip of the head, "Sharptooth-- You know about Sharptooth, right? From the stories the elders used to tell? Well, there is one in our camp, rummaging through it, and it is not safe to return back.. yet." I implied, glacing to Frostwish again, and back to Goldenheart, my head held high. "Of course we mean no harm crossing into your territory, we could always go back..." I went on, shuddering.
