Thousands of years ago, there was a very small island. It used to be in some part of Asia, but after hundreds of years it drifted. It was split off of Asia during an earthquake, and then years after that it moved farther and farther away. It floated in the middle of the ocean, thought to be off the coast of Japan. Animals inhabited it, but not humans. Only one human was on that island. Her name was Adrastiea. She was a kind person but nobody really knew how she got there. Some had ideas, and made up stories about how she got there; there was so many of them, and nobody knew if any of them were true. But that’s another story completely.
So, the island was inhabited with many kinds of creatures, but mainly wolves. They were abundant with this island, and there was so many it was almost overpopulated. Adrastiea came here when she was of an unknown age, but she looked like a young adult. She moved around the island, observing it and all of it’s inhabitants. She finally decided on the name Karmelia which is of the Old English origin roughly translated to mean “seeking knowledge.” She called it Karmelia because nobody ever knew a lot about it, and she was seeking knowledge of it.
Adrastiea lived in Karmelia for a long while, and she met a wolf names Grapheus. Though Adrastiea was thought to be a human, she was indeed a half breed. Whether she was truly human and wolf or not, nobody knew, but she did have the form of a human with a wolf tail and ears. Being part wolf, she had all of the senses and so on that a wolf had. Grapheus loved her, even if she wasn’t a purebred wolf. In a while, they both died of old age, and Adrastiea and Grapheus went to the Astrum Pack; the paradise beyond the clouds. Some would call it “wolf heaven.” What happened to them there is another story completely, but what we know is that when the wolves of Karmelia die they go to the Astrum Pack and live happily in paradise.
Thousands of years passed since Adrastiea and Grapheus were in Karmelia, and new wolves lurk around it. Only Adrastiea and Grapheus are presently in the Astrum Pack, because the decision wasn’t made immediately. Wolves used to just simply disappear, and be at rest; but starting not too long ago the decision of wolves going to Astrum Pack was made. Now, when any wolf dies, if they have lived their noble life, they shall go to the Astrum Pack.
What is the point of living as a wolf, some may ask? They live to their fullest, and their best. They live to enjoy life; because that’s the way it is for them. The good ones enjoy life, but the evil ones perish. They are denied the freedom of paradise; and cannot enjoy the afterlife of the Astrum Pack. They are cursed to roam Karmelia as spirits. Most figure since they have nothing to lose, that they will taunt the living wolves until they die. Some try to get the living wolves to be evil, so that they won’t be free to go to the Astrum Pack when they decease. And they will go through the suffering that every other evil wolf goes through; for all eternity.
It is the sad truth of life. There is a good and an evil, and whether they like it or not; the good goes to the eternity of paradise, and the evil go the eternity of suffering. Karmelia will live on, as long as we keep it living. We are the future of Karmelia. Don’t destroy it as the evil ones are attempting. Protect it, and nourish it; and there will be true happiness after all.

Welcome to Karmelia! So, you want to know about Karmelia, huh? Well, have a seat and I'll tell you all about it. My name is Adrastiea. I came to Karmelia very, very long ago. It was a beautiful land, full of life and happiness. When I was here, I revived a human from the dead, and he took the form of a wolf named Nailian. He was born of Kashina, and his father was Oren. They were happy, and not only that, but they were the Alpha and Alphaess of the entire wolf pack.
You see, back then, all of the wolves were one. They didn't have different packs, they didn't even have rogues or loners! It was just one big group of wolves, all working together. Nailian became very good friends with Sroasha, Silverfang, and Ridian. They were his best friends, actually. I used to watch them run around and play as pups. They had so much fun together, all of them with their different personalities. Nailian was the playful one, but safe. Silverfang was the careful one, the peacemaker. And Sroasha was the sneaky, prankster; but everyone loved it.
And Ridian, well, Ridian was like his brother. In fact he was almost his brother. I revived Ridian as well, actually Ridian would've been his brother if that man hadn't of interrupted it. You thought he killed me right? Wrong. Actually, he almost did, but I escaped through the back entrance and revived myself. He never knew it, because he ran away after putting Ridian into Kashina's sister's womb. Yes, Kashina, Nailian's mother. So, Ridian and Nailian were actually cousins.
So, they weren't exactly friends like he was with Sroasha and Silverfang. Now that we've got all that straightened out, we can move on to what happened during their childhood. Let's start with Nailian, he had no siblings during his human life, nor any ones that I know of in his wolf life. Sroasha had one brother, and him and her parents died in a grizzly bear rampage. I actually don't know of Silverfang's childhood, since I didn't really pay attention to his family situation.
The Alpha and Alphaess, Nailian's parents, took Sroasha in though. Oren eventually died of old age, and Kashina died of a disease. Nailian was automatically open for the spot of Alpha, but Sroasha wasn't. Sroasha wanted to be Alphaess, and Nailian's mate, but he turned her down. He got another mate, but when Sroasha found out about this, she killed her.
The wolves had no idea that this had happened, and they found her body in The Lake of Life. I wouldn't dare tell anyone, since that isn't my duty. I had to merely watch, and that was it. I couldn't have any contact with the wolves, just merely observe their history and write it down. After this had happened, Sroasha confronted Nailian again about being Alphaess, but again he turned her down.
Sroasha had enough, she secretly got together with some other wolves, and they decided to leave. I was devastated at this, since they were such good friends, but not anymore. Sroasha told Nailian of her decisions and her and the other wolves left forming the Ulmer Pack; the evil pack. Nailian called him and his remaining wolves the Embryss Pack. They were sworn rivals.
The only problem was, Silverfang was still each of their friends. He still was friends with both of them, and he absolutely hated this fighting. He gathered some other wolves who agreed with him, and they decided to make a neutral pack called the Konan Pack. I was heart broken at the splitting up of the Beginning Pack, but this is the way the father wanted it to be. It had to happen; why? I didn't know, but it isn't mine to know. Some other wolves split apart from all the packs, afraid of fighting at all. They became loners or rogues, but some still want to be in a pack.
Things happen for a reason, even if that reason is hidden, and remains a mystery. It's beyond our understanding, but sometimes we aren't the ones that need to understand it. That's the way it has always been, and has to be.[/center]
