Burningpaw was determined to bring lots of prey back to her clan. She was looking along the CliffClan border, when suddenly she fell. "HELP!"

Redpaw heared a noise and raced off towards the border. When he got there there was a apprentice holding on to dear life. He reached his paw out to the she-cat. " Grab my paw! I will pull you up!" he meowed to the she-cat streching his paw out to her.

Redpaw stuttered. " My....my name is Redpaw it is nice to meet you Burningpaw" he meowed. He felt a strange sensation for Burningpaw. It was love he was in love with her. " Your pretty" he meowed a complement. Redpaw felt embarressed for saying that to her.

"Hey! Redpaw! Where are you?!" Shadepaw called. He knew the way back to camp, but he didn't want to leave Redpaw alone. He decided to head back to camp in case Redpaw was already there. But he stopped to hunt on the way. He caught two mice and a large thrush.

Shadepaw dropped his catch on the fresh-kill pile and looked around. Where was Darktalon? Maybe... Shadepaw thought, remembering his dream. Maybe he could have some fun after all.

Puddlestar went out hunting. The dewy grass was wet underpaw as she trudged through the field. A mouse scuttled by her paws, and Puddlestar pounced. She missed. Puddlestar slipped in a patch of mud and went flying through the air. She hit a metal thing that clasped around her neck. She yowled with pain, but no one heard her. With a sinking feeling, she realized this was her last life. Puddlestar saw the last glimpse of what she used to call home as she was forced to close her eyes. |

Shadepaw went out to hunt. Again. He saw a vole munching on some nuts under a tree. He crouched down, ready to spring. He jumped and missed, watching it speed away, pittering through a mud puddle. Pausing to mutter: "Mouse dung," he sighed and followed it, hoping it would lead him to a prey rich area. He padded around a tree and froze. It was Puddlestar! She was caught in some sort of trap! He pressed his ear against her flank... hearing no heartbeat. His tail drooped. Their Clan leader was dead. What should he do now?

Shadepaw staggered back. Go back to camp. That was what he must do. Go back and tell the others. He ran back to camp and once he got there, he yowled, "Puddlestar is DEAD!"
