Daisykit got up and bounded out of the nursery. She was going to be an apprentice soon!

"Daisykit, stay in the camp!" Blossomfur reminded her. Blossomfur was Daisykit's adoptive mother. When Daisykit had been brought to the Clan after Daisykit's real mother had to give her up, Blossomfur agreed to take her. She had just had a litter of 2 kits, but both had died of sickness. Blossomfur had been heart-broken but daisykit helped her forget. Daisykit did not know that Blossomfur was not her real mother. Blossomfur did not know who Daisykit's real mother was. She was not supposed to be told. Blossomfur loved Daisykit like a real daughter and thought of her that way. Daisykit had come when she was quarter moon old so she would not remember anything of her former clan.
