Flameriver had been pretty good for a while, but he was tense and nervous. He would do whatever he could to care for NightClan--especially his mate and soon-to-be-born kits-- but NightClan could be about to endure hard times.

Wolfstar looked into the crowed of cats and reconized Flamestar's voice. "Meadowkit is almost of apprentice age and will therefore be learning how to hunt soon. We will need all the help we can get." The black leader thought through what was coming in hopefully near future. We'll have at least one more member of NightClan soon. But...what if I'm making the wrong choices. Will NightClan suffer if this is a mistake? she thought ruefully. "Oakwing, you will sit vigil tonight. And Ghostmask, please see me in my den." Wolfstar jumped down from the Highrock and padded into her den to wait for Ghostmask.

Heronstripe sat beside Foxpelt and stared up at Wolfstar.
Mistycloud glanced at her kits and smiled.
Foxpaw padded into the medicine den. He had always liked the way it smelled. "Brownfur?" he called, "I need to speak with you."
Hollypaw looked around the camp for her brother, but didn't see him. She padded over to the medicine den, he was always there for some reason. Sure enough he was in there, smelling the sharp air. She walked over and sat down beside him.
