Moonfur cuddled Frogkit next to her and replied, "It's alright, dear. I'll stay with you if you would like me to."

A tear rolled down her cheek. "Can I see them?"

"Yes, Frogkit." Moonfur cooed. "Look." The she-cat pointed with her paw downwards. Below the two cats, the ground disappeared and it now seemed like nothing supported them, but they were standing in midair. SmokeClan was below Frogkit and Moonfur. "Now just concentrate on what you want to see, and they'll appear in front of you. But remember; even though you can see them, they cannot see or hear you back."

"I don't want to see them if they can't see me," complained Frogkit, "May I walk in their dreams?"

[~*WOLFIE*~]

"Only with the permission of a cat who died as a leader." Moonfur replied to Frogkit. She glanced over at Goldenstar. "Actually, I have an idea of how you can walk in their dreams and tell them that you are alright. Goldenstar, may I talk to you for a moment?" The elderly she-cat said kindly to her past leader. "Young Frogkit has a favor to ask of you."

"G-Goldenstar," the miniscule kit stammered, "C-Can I walk in the dreams of my mother and sister and brother?"

Goldenstar raised her head and looked over at Frogkit and Moonfur. Her amber eyes were glowing and her light golden pelt was neatly groomed with stars dancing in her fur. She gracefully padded over and her white paws barely touched the star-forest's ground. "Of course," She mewed to Moonfur kindly, listening intently to Frogkit. "I don't think it could hurt if you only do it once for now, even if you do both dreams seperately. And you must promise me not to say too much. StarClan is like a mystery to every living Clan cat, only to be solved when it is time for that cat to join. Remember, just this once. I expect you'll have the chance to walk in more dreams some day, but just this one night for now." She licked the top of the kit's head. "I bet they miss you," She murmured.

Moonfur looked at Goldenstar with thoughful eyes meaning to say, "Thank you." She looked back at Frogkit and licked the SmokeClan kit's forehead, just as Goldenstar had done a moment before. "You may talk to your loved ones in SmokeClan tonight." Moonfur finally said. "But when you get back, I'll take care of you in StarClan. If you are ever scared, come to me and talk." Moonfur smiled. "Think of me as a very good friend." The she-cat sat down next to Frogkit until it was time for her to talk to her family back in SmokeClan.

"Thank you thank you thank you!" Frogkit twisted in the air and bowed her head to Goldenstar and Moonfur. She would see her mother and siblings!

Steady leaf watched as the nervous kit asked Goldenstar if she could walk in her siblings dreams. This made the tortishell warrior remember Heatfang, and how an injury to his back leg had caused him to retire early. A sudden flash of lightning appeared before his eyes, lighting dry grass ablaze with lapping waves of amber fire. He saw cats flee before hie eyes, their faces blurred. He then saw his father atop the Highrock, trying to back away from the flames with little success. The warrior came to the rock's edge and slipped on the edge with his bad leg, scrabbling with his paws in attempt to pull himself up. The flames came up onto the highrock, lapping at the elder's paws like rippling water. Finally, the strength faded from his body and the heat became too intense, and Heatfang fell. Steadyleaf snapped out of his vision when he felt the slightest flick on his shoulder. He had never seen Heatfang's body hit the ground after he fell. "Hey, Steadyleaf," Puppetheart meowed, a bit of concern in his normally playful mew. "You okay?" Steadyleaf took a deep breath, then nodded. Puppetheart padded away, concern still present in his eyes like storm clouds fading into the distance. Steadyleaf closed his eyes. He had to speak with his father.

Pain shone in Redmask's eyes as he watched his mate, LIghtpool, "I love you..."He whispered.

Frogkit walked up to Redmask.
"Weren't you my mom's sister's mate?"

"Yes.."He whispered smiling at his kit, and licking his ear.

"Hi." She mewed, "i miss SmokeClan. And mommy."

He know the kit wasn't his but just to make her feel better,"Hmmm."

Waterstep and Thrushstripe gasped as they stepped into a clearing full of starry cats. "StarClan," Thrushstripe whispered. He was amazed. Waterstep quickly scanned the crowd in search of Silvertooth. When she finally spotted the wolf, Waterstep called out her name. "SIlvertooth!"

Frogkit looked up and smiled, "Lightpool is Lightstar now."

Silvertooth heard her name and turned to see Waterstep. She ran toward her friend and wrapped her tail around her. "I missed you." she whispered.
