(( OMG Frosty-wa... I feel like... a horrible person. Do not worry. Eventually she will see the light and we'll have our sunset scene. ^^ ))

Alone in the forest, she curled her tail around her paws, a thing she only did when she was angry. In moods like this, everything in Blazepaw's world was sharper and more acute. The gentle white of a daisy blared in her face. Her fury intensified--not at Duskpool, not at Foxwing, but at herself. Before she ran off, she had seen something in Duskpool's eyes. True pain. The kind that can only be caused by seeing something you so desired taken away, or worse, turned against you. She had drained him of spirit.
"Why?" she meowed angrily. Blazepaw turned to the night sky, howling in agony. "WHY?! Why did I run away? What's wrong with me? Am I...a monster?" she hissed to herself. A single tear tracked down her muzzle. The only friend I ever had.. maybe even more... I might have just lost him.

((Aww.... now SHE seems so sad... There's really no winning until the sunset... ))

Duskpool had stopped crying a while ago. Not because he had made himself, but because they had all gone. They had soaked the fur around his eyes, whiskers and tail. Quietly, he started to groom himself, hoping no one had noticed him, so the traces were gone.
He stood up and shook his fur out. His new goal, now that his other goal had hurt him more than fighting an entire Clan by yourself, was to be the best warrior this Clan had seen. Taking a deep breath, he left the den and looked around camp, to see if anyone needed help.

(( I was thinking he would go into the forest to hunt and run into Blazepaw, if that's okay with you... ))

After a while and plenty of shed tears, Blazepaw finally decided to head back to camp. They'd be missing her. Whatever. Like she cared. She rose to her paws and plodded in the direction of camp, dejected as a wilting rose.

Foxwing gazed out of the medicene den. Fireblaze had left, and she felt stupid.
How could she let something so perfect pass? But, she couldn't waste her time trying to impress when she had a clan to protect, and friends to help...
"Duskpool? Are you okay?" she meowed, when she spotted Duskpool, his tail drooped, and obvious signs of tears.

Duskpool stopped, his ears perking when he heard Foxwing's question. He sighed to himself and walked nearer to her, but not up to sit beside her. What he really wanted to do was yell at her. Tell her she was wrong, and that being himself got him rejected and possibly scarred for life. But he calmed himself and instead, said "I'm fine, Foxwing. I was just going to go hunting. I'd ask you to come, but..." he trailed off, knowing this was awkward. "But I'll catch up to you after, okay?"

Foxwing knew something was wrong, even a bit insulted that he thought that he could fool her. No way. Something happened, she knew it.
"Whatever," she meowed, lying her head down again. Where's Fireblaze she thought to herself, realizing that it was her heart, instead of her mind.

Duskpool sighed, growing angry at himself. What was wrong with him? What was it about him that seemed to disappoint everyone around him? He ran out of camp, trying to get away from anyone else he could disappoint.
He tried to find something to catch, but when he did, he just ended up missing it. He ended up just getting a stupid mouse that didn't run fast enough. Angrily, he clawed at the ground and padded a bit further into the forest to find something else after covering his small catch with earth.

Spottedpaw sighed, knowing she wouldn't get to talk to the Clan's leader at the moment. Bushy tail drooping, she padded away from the leaders den, when she noticed Duskpool. He seemed unhappy, and the fur around his eyes was dampened. She shook her head in bewilderment, honestly having no idea what might be wrong. Toms rarely showed their feelings, so she didn't bother to ask him, seeing as she'd get no answer. Just a lie or a brush-off perhaps.

She gazed at Foxwing, as she approached the saddened tom, seemingly questioning what was wrong. He meowed his answer, if you could call the few words that. She laughed inside herself at the innocent ignorance of the she-cat. Didn't she know males wouldn't open up for the world? She padded up just in time to see the she-cat lie down, head on paws, and the tom race off. Now he seemed angry and depressed. Poor Duskpool, why couldn't he just lighten up?

"Hey Foxwing," Spottepaw mewed, sitting down next to the older cat. "What happened there?" she pointed in the direction Duskpool had gone with the tip of her tail.

Foxwing sighed, "I don't really know, obviously something though. I'm going to leave him some space, maybe after a while he'll be more open. Whatever happened must have hurt him bad..." she meowed, Blazepaw must have done something, there was no way something else could hurt someone like that. ugh, love, why do you have to be so hurtful?! she thought angrily.
((uhh, where's Lighty? She hasn't been uber active like she ususally is...))

Spottedpaw shrugged, and pulled a paw up to lick it. She rasped her tongue over it, then put it back on the ground, and idea coming to mind. "Ya'know," she mewed, "it is that time of year again. Do ya think he could have been bit by the lovebug?" She tried not to chuckle, seeing as he must have been crushed hard. Poor Dusky, whatever happened he probably didn't deserve it.

(Well, she thought lighten up, cause she didn't know he was crushed and might never love again.... 0:-) )

As Duskpool went deeper into the forest, he scented a cat nearby. A at who's scent he would always know. Blazepaw. Part of him wanted to bolt. Part of him wanted to stay and explain. Most of him wanted to see what she was doing out so far into the forest.
Duskpool took a step closer, to peer through the branches of the bush that seperated them. But as he did, he stepped on a twig. And it snapped. Of course.
Frozen with fear, Duskpool crouched as close to the ground as he could and tried to blend. It didn't really work. He stood, though. He wasn't (too) afraid of Blazepaw. She'd hurt him before; this was no different. Quietly he stood there, bracing himself for when Blazepaw found him.

Blazepaw spun around at the sound of the snapping twig. "Who's there?" she snarled, provoked at being intruded upon while in this sensitive state. Suddenly, a scent reached her senses. It was undoubtfully Duskpool. Now she was only confused. "Duskpool...?" she mewed uneasily.

Warily, Duskpool poked his head over the bush. "Blazepaw...?" Slowly, he padded around the bush, so he was standing right in front of her. "What are you doing out here?" he asked icily.
