"Psh. Typical kittypet," Blazepaw muttered. How could you get lost in the forest? It was so easy to navigate. Looking the small cat up and down, she assumed Mouse would be apprenticed. Just lovely. At least she seemed like she had some spark. Some. Mostly she appeared to be another Shinepaw.
"So when's Lightstar giving you your ceremony?" Blazepaw asked, wondering when she'd have to give up part of the apprentice den.

Illusionsong heard the grandiose voice of Lightstar ringing through the camp, and instantly leapt onto her paws.
It's time for a meeting, said Illusionsong to herself, muttering under her breath. I wonder what Lightstar is going to tell us.
She gingerly took one pawstep after the other, and eventually reached the High Rock, where she spotted her other Clanmates.

"Shinepaw," Lightstar boomed, "The sister of Swallowtail, Has no mentor, which is taking her time as young cat away. This has determined me to take matters into my own paws. Shinepaw, please step forward."
"From this day until you recieve your warrior name, you will be my apprentice. I will pass all of my skills down to you." She bent down to touch the hyper apprentices nose.
"And we also have another announcement. Mouse, a young kit, has decided to become a part of SomkeClan. When some cat offers, she shall become an honorary apprentice. But for now, we will know her as Mousekit."

How quickly these kittens were growing up, before her very eyes. It seemed like only a few days since Mouse had joined her Clan. She smiled again, looking up at the sky.

Blazepaw flicked her tail. "Huh! She's only just joined the Clan, and she's already going to be an honorary apprentice!" At least she will remain Mousekit until some cat offers. Like that will ever happen. "Huh!"
