Wetkit paced in the nursery, waiting for another kit to come and play with him. He then heard Wolfstar call to the Clan cats, and decided to poke his head out of the ferns around the nursery to see what was going on. Wonder if she's gonna announce the apprentice cerimonies today, the kit thought.

[Golden]

Brownfur listened carefully to the coughing and placed a paw against Wildflower's pelt. She was definately warmer than normal. "Wildflower," She began, trying to remain pefectly calm, "you have Greencough. What would be best for everyone is if we moved you right outside my den under the short willow where the camp curves back into the forest." If Wildflower was there she'd be protected from too much wind and storms, she's be in the camp yet away from other cats and dens, and the chance of the illness spreading would lessen. "I'm sure another queen can watch your kits."

[i hope dawn never comes.]

Wildflower's gaze clouded,"Oh-ok." She rasped looking up at Brownfur,"For the best of my kits and eveyone else." The she-cat mewed and was once again interupted by coughing.

[Golden]

"For the best," Brownfur murmured softly. "Let's get you to your new nest and then I'll give you some catmint. Flameriver, run ahead and make Wildflower a nest."
Flameriver nodded and collected moss that was stocked just inside Brownfur's den in case of emergencies. He shaped it into nest and ran back to the nursery.

"Thanks, Flameriver. Are you ready, Wildflower?"

"Will Wetkit, Dreamkit, Leopardkit, Dustkit, Fernkit, Rainkit, Kitekit, Shadekit and Poisonkit step forward, please." Wolfstar said loudly so all the kits could hear their names. "From this day forward, until you all have earned your warrior names these apprentices will be called Wetpaw, Dreampaw, Leopardpaw, Dustpaw, Fernpaw, Rainpaw, Kitepaw, Shadepaw and Poisonpaw. I will mentor Wetpaw, Moss will mentor Dreampaw, Dewwing will mentor Leopardpaw, Goldenspirit will mentor Dustpaw, Dawnshadow will mentor Fernpaw, Ghostmask will mentor Rainpaw, Flameriver will mentor Kitepaw, Fogpool will mentor Shadepaw and Darkfeather will mentor Poisonpaw."

"Yes, I'm ready." She whispered giving her mate a lick before turning to Brownfur.

[Golden]

"All right. If you start a coughing fit you could get dizzy and lightheaded, so take it slowly." Her voice was soft and kind and she watched Wildflower very carefully. Greencough could take a life so soon.

"ok, I will." She promised Brownfur slowly walkingbeside the Medicine cat her head hanging as a thin brown tabby tail lashed out.

((Hey Dawn, I made Poisonkit into an apprentice, so he's Poisonpaw now. If you don't want him to be an apprentice then just tell me. And who plays Badgerpaw?))

Mistycloud smiled, "Not to bad." She looked up as Wolfstar's voice echoed from the camp and into the woods.
"She's making an announcement, we better go back," she said cautiously, picking up the vole she caught.

[Golden]

"Right there," Brownfur meowed when they reached the nest. "You lie down and I'll get you some catmint." She slipped into her den and took some from the rocks where she sorted. Their scent was delicious but she knew how precious they were. The medicine cat placed them by Wildflower's nose. "Make sure you take these, they're good for Greencough."

Foxpaw stuck his head outside the den, "Brownfur, do you need anything else?"

[Golden]

"It's okay, Foxpaw, I've got it from here. How about you go listen to the announcements? I'll stay with Ghostmask." Brownfur nodded once to Wildflower. "If you need anything, call me and I'll come right away." She padded over to Ghostmask. "Will a warrior help me move him to my den? We must be very careful."

"You got it," Foxpaw meowed, "Call if you need me, I'll be ready." He walked over to the crowd and sat next to his sister.

((Oh, I didn't know you played Badgerpaw, Golden. It's not in your siggy. Do you want me to make him a warrior? If so, what should his name be?))

"Will Moss please step forward." Wolfstar said.

Moss stepped in front of her mother. She felt so honored to be standing in front of her new Clan; NightClan.

Wolfstar looked at her daughter proudly. "You all may be wondering where I was the past few days." she started. "I went to seek my daughter, Moss. And this is her." The black she-cat smiled at Moss and continued with her ceremony. "I, Wolfstar, leader of NightClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this cat. She has trained hard to under stand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Moss, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." Moss said proudly.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name: Moss, from this moment on you will be known as Mosspath. StarClan honors your independance and your spirit and we welcome you as a full warrior of NightClan." the leader yowled.

Moss dipped her head in graditude and padded off the Highrock to take her place next to Dewwing again.

"Will Hollypaw please step forward." Wolfstar said next. "I, Wolfstar, leader of NightClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to under stand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Hollypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
