Dewwing looked over her shoulder and saw Ghostmask. "Yes, Ghostmask! I'll go hunting with you!" She ran over to her father and saw Fernkit laying in front of him.

"Hi, Dewwing." Sitting up, she turned her attention to the she-cat. "Do you know where they are?"

((Ok Wolfie! How about Ghost and Dew split up and she meets the Rouge and gets some answers about Thrush's death?))

"Great!" Ghostmask purred. "We'll leave later, when it's dark. We can go Night Hunting."

"No, I don't know where they are, Fernkit. In the nursery, possibly?" Dewwing said to the kit. She smiled at her father and ran off to the nursery to look for Fernkit's friends.

A FEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Fernkit just joined the Clan, but is pretending to have been born into NightClan. Do any queens want to pretend that they had her with other kits?
EDIT FOR ABOVE: Fernkit is now considerred Streamshimmer's kit.

I will soon be bumping up some kits to be apprentices! Would anyone like to mentor?

Fernkit trailed Dewwing, yawning widely. Shaking herself to her senses, she scolded herself in her head. You're never going to be an able apprentice if you keep falling asleep! "Last time I checked, they weren't there," she meowed.

(( Glad we had enough mentors when are all these kits becoming apprentices? ))

((Ghostmask wanted to mentor Rainkit, which is fine with me, but I don't know if that's all right with you, Wolfie. Other than that, the lsit looks great!

Streamshimmer opened her eyes and stood up. She arched her back and stretched, one leg at a time. Looking down at the nest of moss she saw that the kits were gone. "Mysterysong!" She shrieked. "Where are the kits?"
"Calm down," Mysterysong soothed her worried friend. "Dustkit, Rainkit, Leopardkit, and Dreamkit are with Dawnshadow out play-fighting." Her eyes widened. "Fernkit!"
Streamshimmer had begun to relax but now felt a whole new wave of worry wash over her. "Fernkit!" She bounded out of the den, calling her kit's name.

((Fernkit isn't in the nursery right now, is she?))

(( Nopes, just heading toward it. ))

((Oh! Thanks for letting me know, Golden. I'll let Ghostmask mentor Rainkit and I'll mentor Wetkit. I'll probably have everyone apprenticed either tomorrow or Tuesday. Just be patient until I do, everyone. ))

Fernkit slowed down to a stop. She knew for sure that when she had checked the nursery, her friends hadn't been there. They weren't in camp either--if they were, she would be able to hear them from CliffClan. They didn't go into the forest on an adventure without me, did they? she thought. Looking to see that no cat was looking in her particular direction and knowing that Dewwing was somewhere around the nursery, Fernkit silently left NightClan camp.

[Golden]

"Fernkit?" Streamshimmer called again. She saw Dewwing in the nursery and darted back into the den. "Have you seen Fernkit?" Her words were slurred in worry and she hoped Dewwing could understand her.

[~*WOLFIE*~]

Dewwing looked over her shoulder and saw Streamshimmer. "I thought she was following me to the nursery." the she-cat said to the queen.

[Lawl[iet]]

Ghostmask noticed that the full moon had risen and was lighting up the night as he walked through camp in search of his daughter. "Dewwing!" he called. "Come on! Hunting time!"

[Golden]

Streamshimmer shook her head. "She's not here. Maybe we can find her scent."

((Do you not want them to find you?))

[~*WOLFIE*~]

"Alright, father!" Dewwing called to Ghostmask. She turned back to the worried queen. "While we're hunting, we'll keep our eyes and noses open for them. Promise." She nuzzled Streamshimmer and ran up to her father. "Some of our kits are missing. I promised Streamshimmer that we would keep our eyes out for them. Okay?"

[Golden]

"Okay. Thaniks, Dewwing." Streamshimmer meowed. "Mysterysong, let's go check around the camp. I'm glad there isn't much snow on the ground yet."
"All right," Mysterysong agreed instantly, as worried about Fernkit as Streamshimmer was.

[Lawl[iet]]

Ghostmask nodded and turned to the camp's entrance. "Let's pull out," he meowed, racing out of the camp and inot the forest.

(( No, she'll wander around a little ))

A pleasing aroma found its way into Fernkit's nostrils. She quickly identified it. "Squirrel! My first kill!" Being out in the wild with no pesky warriors constantly eyeing her opened the adventurous side in the kit. Imitating the way she had seen Hollypaw hunt, she carefully placed pawsteps one after the other. She came within a cat's length of the creature when she pounced. Fernkit heard the satisfying crunch as the squirrel's neck snapped. She dug in, relishing the taste of her first prey. When she had her fill, she buried the evidence before meandering on. The kit didn't notice how the trees began to thin. She also didn't detect the smell of the strongly reinforced scent markers as she padded over them.

Fernkit was in enemy territory.
