Heatfang was coming back from showing his son some hunting moves, when he stumbled into Goldenheart and another strange cat. Goldenheart looked like she was in an important conversation, so he left them alone and decided not to tell anyone.

Heatfang trotted away to tell Silentstar where he was going. He would go to the moonpool. He needed to talk to his ancestors.

Far off in the woods, a trembling kit, known to no one. Her name was flower. She tried to catch a mouse, but it scurried away before she could move an inch, let alone catch it. She was lost, tired, hungry, and had no place to go. She wished her tiny heart out that someone would find her.

Goldenheart tried to follow the scent. She knew it was a cat, and it smelled sick. She heard a little whimper and ran towards it, it was a kit! She didn't want to frighten it. She caught a mouse and slowly pushed the prey over to the her.

Flower slowly, cautiously, took the prey the strange cat handed her. The cat had a unique smell, and Flower bunched up her nose.

Goldenheart knew the kit needed a medicine cat. It was a female kit and she looked as if she had not eaten for days. Goldenheart wondered when the last time was that she had eaten well. She decided to introduce herself to the little cat, "I am Goldenheart, a cat of NightClan."

Goldenheart tried to explain the four clans of the forest. "We try to live in peace but when something goes wrong it can lead to battle." she said finishing up her explanation. "Flower, do you have a mother or siblings?"
