Description:
I wish you'd stop looking at me. It's making me nervous.
Songpaw is a thin, diminished cat for her age, due to her brief starvation after Songbird was killed. She’s undersized, and will most likely never be as large or as strong as her fellow Clan cats.
Songpaw has a tabby gold-and-brown pelt that lightens toward her muzzle into a cream color that is reminiscent of the color that dappled her mother’s fur. She has forest-colored eyes that seem to change color in the light, becoming brighter and darker depending on if she is in the sun or shadow. Songpaw has large ears that are a light pink mixed with white on the inside, and black on the outside. Her nose is black and pink, and the last bit of her tail is black with a white tip. Her fur is thin and almost patchy in areas, and all in all, Songpaw looks a little like a drowned rat at times. She has longer scraps of fur on her belly that tend to brush the ground when she’s sitting, and whiskers that seem to have never seen a day where they were straight, the white strands are so wrinkled and crumpled from who knows what.

History:
Oh boy, here we go.
Songpaw’s life started when her parents, Songbird (originally a loner named Atrethe) and Icefur, (then a tom in MistClan) met in MistClan’s camp. Songbird had been caught stealing prey by Thornbelly, another MistClan cat, and brought back to see their leader, Soaringstar. When Icefur saw the black-dappled she-cat that was Songbird, he pleaded with Soaringstar to let off the charges and release Songbird. Soaringstar did so grudgingly, but only because she had feelings for Icefur – even though her position as Clan Leader forbade her from any kits. After inviting the golden she-cat into the Clan, Soaringstar retreated into herself, becoming a small shell of the courageous cat she had been, and eventually appointed Icefur as her deputy.

All throughout this, however, Icefur and Songbird fell for each other, and Songbird found herself pregnant with three kits – as she was to later find out. After those three were born (Goldenkit, Runekit, and Ripplekit), Songbird vanished from MistClan for almost all of Leaf-Fall, returning only at the beginning of Leafbare with the news that her father and mother wanted her home. Devastated at this, Icefur (now Icestar) went into a rage and killed his own three kits, then started to turn on Songbird. Songbird only managed to save herself by crying that she was already dead, as far as most cats in the Clan were concerned, and would leave on her own terms with her fourth kit. Icestar struck the fatal blow before she got away, and now the golden she-cat lives with StarClan. Icestar tried vainly to hide his madness from the rest of MistClan, and to this day, he has been discovered as neither the father of Songpaw, nor the killer of Ripplekit, Goldenkit, and Runekit.
But where was Songpaw through all of this?

After her mother was killed, Songpaw wandered the forests for a few moons, before finding the four Clans and hiding in a tree to watch the daily life of CliffClan. She was intrigued, and has now asked to join. Whether she’ll be accepted is to be seen.

Songpaw is a playful, energetic young cat with a love of life and a will to help those with and without it. When not helping out another apprentice with their duties – say, giving a paw with the moss in the Elder’s den, Songpaw can sometimes be found just sitting in the middle of a clearing, gazing up at the sky and watching clouds. Others have called her a time-wasting cat, some have said that she is lazy, but Songpaw just wants to be herself.
Songpaw tends to have a rather mean streak about her, however. She doesn’t always remember or even know where the line is, and usually crosses it without a second thought. Songpaw takes insults deeply, whether they’re as simple as the moss being wet, or the mouse stale, and has been known to vanish for two or three days before reappearing again. It’s usually just her way of coping with being reprimanded, but she’s gotten in trouble for it before.
