"The traitorous cats have been killed. Let us pray to StarClan that we will be safe for moons to come." The leader finished speaking and gave his Clan a moment of scilence.

Feather and Oakwing prayed not only for their Clan's safety, but also for the safety of their former Tribe.

Graykit nuzzled her head further into her mother's fur. Whenever she closed her eyes, the terrible scene of her father's attack would play in her mind. She would hear the growls of the two cats who hurt him and close her eyes tighter. The terrifying immage wouldn't leave her mind.

((I'm going to make the two kits apprentices, anyone want to mentor them? I might have Gorsebranch or Feather have one if no one else wants to.))

Foxwhisper released the air he was holding tightly in his lungs. "Phew," he looked up.
"Ghoststar's making an announcement? Oh! I'd better go listen. Can you come or...." He looked up at his shimmering mentor. She was indeed the most strange thing that had happened to him, but also one of the best. Until Fernpaw became his apprentice, he had no company in his lonely den.

[Golden]

A faint noise caught Rainpool's attention. She became alert, with one ear swiveled toward the camp. "I think an announcement is being made.. and it the tone of voice seems urgent. We had better go back." Rainpool looked to Wildflower for approval, but then horror crossed Duststripe's face.
"Do you smell.. blood?" The tom kneaded the ground with a paw and bit his lip while Rainpool tasted the air.
"I do."
Duststripe couldn't wait for Wildflower's decision. He lowered his stomach to the ground and darted toward the camp. Rainpool stayed close on his heels. They entered the camp at the same time and saw two bodies near the center. Mellow, the stranger, and Moon, the traitor.
Duststripe couldn't understand what was going on. He then noticed another unfamiliar cat, one with large, metal claws, and blood on Ghoststar's pelt.
"What happened?"

Wildflower's face twisted into fear and desperation as she raced over to the scene, there was some hideous cat with metal claws. Oh no, she thoguht with ager rising in her blood. Wildflower dashed over to Ghoststar's body, yep that was surely his blood. And it appeared that the metal cat had done it, "What did you do?" She growled crouching down ove Ghoststar's body. The brown she cat wasn't looking for mercy she wanted death, how dare that cat do that to Ghoststar. Wildflower would make sure that he felt pain, make sure that he would die. It was the only way to see justice, but was jumping to conclusions right? Who cares, Wildflower was out for blood.

Dewwing unsheathed her claws and stared her deputy down. She knew that this was the wrong thing to do, but Metalclaw had done nothing wrong. "Don't you dare hurt him, Wildflower." she angrily hissed. "You can't blame any old cat for the wounds of a member of NightClan. He has done nothing wrong." Dewwing's teeth were barred and she was ready to defend Metalclaw's innocence.

"Whatever is going on down there, I want it to stop!" Ghoststar yowled, seeing that a slight argument had broken out. He looked to his son and hoped he would get the message. "Would Graykit and Wolfkit step forward."

Graykit slowly padded forward, then waited for her father to speak.

Gorsebranch understood his father's request and nodded. He walked over to the arguing cats and stepped between them. "Stop this," he hissed. "We don't need anyone else to become injured now."

"You don't like him either." Dewwing mumbled to her brother as she turned her body away from any peering eyes.

Wolfkit looked at her older sister and then sighed as she walked up next to Graykit with her head low to the ground. They were probably going to get in trouble for playing in the forest.

Fogpool sighed and closed her cloudy yellow eyes. "Why won't all this just go away." she mumbled very quietly. A tear ran down her cheek and to the end of her chin, then it slowly formed into it's natural shape and dripped off.

Mosspath frowned as she looked a Dewwing. The lust that she had found in the she-cat was gone, and her friend looked very sad. "Mother, is living in a Clan supposed to be this way?" Mosspath whispered to Wolfstar.

[i hope dawn never comes.]

"Yeah, Dewwing. Don't want anyone to get hurt. I can accuse anyone I want!" Wildflower mutter-growled leaning over Dewwing and then turned her gaze back to Ghoststar. The deputy held her head higher and took a seat next to the leader's body, Wildflower looked at Fogpool and nuzzled her friends' shoulder. "I don't trust him." She whispered about Metalclaw. "It just doesn't feel right." Wildflower added with a sigh before looking back at Ghoststar, saddness engulfed her.

Fogpool didn't say anything back to Wildflower. Her eyes drooped and there was no smile upon her usually happy face. She didn't know what to think about her the new cat her daughter had brought into camp.

Dewwing stood up and padded away, leaving the crowd of cats behind. Entering the warrior's den, she layed down. Wildflower just didn't understand anything.

"Don't listen to them," Metalclaw whispered to Dewwing. "Let them talk all they want."He licked the she-cats cheek and smiled.

"Graykit," the leader called out his daughter's name. "From this day until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Graypaw. I ask Starclan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior. Oakwing, I trust you to pass on all you have learned to Graypaw and help her become a warrior the Clan can be proud of."

Oakwing stepped forward and smiled as he was given his first apprentice. He hoped that Brownfur was happy with what he'd accomplished.

"Wolfkit," Ghoststar continued. "From this day until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Wolfpaw. I ask Starclan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior. Dewwing, trust you to pass on all you have learned to Graypaw and help her become a warrior the Clan can be proud of."

"Thanks." she said to Metalclaw, licking him back. "Wildflower will just have to deal with the fact that we are together." Hearing her name, Dewwing walked back to the Highrock and attempted to smile at Wolfpaw. She didn't feel at all happy, but having an apprentice was a big deal, and she needed to look like it was a big deal too.

Wolfpaw looked at her mentor, Dewwing. At least it was her own sister. Graypaw got someone she didn't know very well. Wolfpaw didn't attempt a smile like Dewwing did. She frowned and didn't say anything. The small she-cat glanced over at Graypaw to see what her expression was.

Graypaw tried to look happy, but after seeing her father get hurt had mentally scarred the once-energetic cat.

Ghoststar took a moment to look out at his Clan. "Please return to your duties," he called. "Oakwing and Dewwing, take your apprentices on patrol with you and show them the territory. Wildflower, please organize a hunting patrol." The leader leapt down from the Highrock and ended the meeting. He then approached the stranger that his daughter had brought back to camp with her. "And I'd like to have a word with you," he meowed, walking towards his den.

Metalclaw nodded and followed the leader. "I'll be fine," he whispered to Dewwing before padding into the den.

Oakwing padded over to his new apprentice. "So, are you ready to see the territory?" he meowed, waiting for Dewwing and her apprentice to join them.

"I guess," Graypaw replied quietly, kneading the ground with her paws.
