I'm going to get to the point -- these are rules you really should follow. If you don't follow them, sleep well tonight knowing that we will delete your ad.
[1] Your site cannot contain any inappropriate content. We are a G-rated site... to some extent anyway, probably more PG. Almost nothing that would make a movie be rated PG-13, R, NC-13, or even X (and according to one of our affiliates, it exists... xD) should be on your site.
[2] Please no one-lined advertisements that just say "join my site it's pretty cool" or "we need new members so join today!" or even "hi we r a new ste loking 4 member so join 2day." BAD. Look at all the other ads, and write your own. Make us WANT to join your site.
[3] You're advertising to get more members, well, surprise surprise, that's what we're after too! If we can't advertise on your site, then you can't advertise on ours -- and poof, your ad is gone like it was beamed up by the starship Enterprise. Except not that cool.
[4] You're not filling out a form to advertise here, so we shouldn't have to fill out one to advertise on your site. In fact, if you do have a form... we have one too. Only fill this out if we're going to have to fill one out on your site -- we're not that mean. And for every question -- we truly want to know!
[5] Just because you're advertising here doesn't mean you can go into our cbox and say "LOOK AT MY AD AND JOIN MY SITE" or keep advertising. That's desperate and wrong. Basically, what you're implying is that we should go into your cbox and yell at you. You're still allowed to chat with us, though, that's perfectly fine.
[6] While we're on the topic of desperateness -- don't post more than one advertisement. Check to make sure if another member hasn't already posted one or maybe you posted one a long time ago and just forgot about it. Once your ad has disappeared into the land of the second, third, fourth, etc pages, you can bump it. Just not every five minutes. We don't get ads every five minutes, so that would be pointless. Please just post in your thread with a simple post saying "bump." Don't post a new advertisement every time.
[7] So you've filled out the form (which was optional if you don't have a form on your site...), you're read our annoying rules, and you're ready to post your ad. Then make sure your security code (At the top, you know, the pretty rainbow letters?) is correct, you don't have any embarrassing typos, and press the button below that says "post message." But you knew that.
[8] NEW RULE: Only Proboards sites for now, please. Our ad is formatted in CSS (i think that's what is used) and it's a huge PAIN to reformat it for your site. Sorry.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for visiting WFRP!
