Eclipsekit is a night black she cat with piercing gray eyes that can hold a firm glare with just about any cat. She has a slim build, but she is determined to build up muscle when she becomes a warrior. Her coat is always sleek and well-groomed, more by her own doing than her father's. She has a slight nick in her left ear, from when she snuck out of the camp and got into a scuffle with a mouse, which clawed her ear. She has a soft look about her, but she also carries herself with a fierce pride, so the two often conflict. Eclipsekit's mother was a tortoiseshell, her father a black cat, so while most of her coat is the color of ebony, a slight triangle of chest fur is a brilliant, fox-fur red, and the tip of her fluffy tail is the same color. Her gray eyes have slightly darker flecks around the pupil, mainly only noticeable at night, when the sun doesn't interfere with their color.
Personality:
Eclipsekit doesn't like to play and romp like most young kits, she's always been focused on being apprenticed. While she does have a sharp tongue and a short temper, she nurses a fierce loyalty for her Clan, and would give her life to defend it, even if she's merely a kit at the moment. She admires her leader, and hopes to grow up to be just as admired. If you're lucky, and you manage to become a close friend of Eclipsekit's, she'll show you her softer side, the gentle and teasing personality she saves for her best of friends and occasionally her father.
History:
Eclipsekit was one of the two kits her mother was to give birth to, it was a harsh leaf-bare, and she just couldn't handle any more. But she was so thin and ragged that even the effort of a simple kitting got the better of her, taking her life. Specklewhisker only had enough time left to give a name to the two kits who had survived the ordeal - Eclipsekit, and Stormkit.
The two were raised by another queen, thinking that she was their mother. But when their father finally gave in and told them the truth about their mother's death, Stormkit couldn't handle the negative emotions. He left NightClan to live as a loner. Eclipsekit on the other hand, just let this fuel her intense loyalty to the Clan even more. In their kitting, she and her brother had taken a queen from their Clan, and Eclipsekit was determined to ensure that her mother's death did not go wasted.
When prey was running low, the stubborn kit tried to go hunting for the Clan. She did end up winning the tussle with the mouse she was after, but her ear was clawed, and her apprenticeship postponed for half a moon so that she'd learn her lesson. Her father is very protective of her, as she's his only kit, and the only reminder of her mother, his beloved mate.
She is unaware that her brother is still alive.
