After she and Poppytail finished eating, Goldenheart padded out into the forest. With prey so scarce, she thought, I must hunt more often.

Ghostkit awoke when something smacked him in the head. He opened his eyes to find that Sonekit had pushed him over so he could lay in Ghostkit's spot next to their mother. Felling unwanted, Ghostkit padded out of the camp to a cliff that overlooked the camp. He laid at the edge with is head on his paws and stared down at the empty place. Everybody was asleep except him.

Ghotkit woke up, realizing he was on the cliff overlooking the camp. Since the cliff had no name, he decided to call it his own. He looked down and saw the she-cat Goldenheart out in the forest. He wondered what she was doing, so he padded toward the forest.

She didn't smell his scent, it was covered by ForestClan's. She bristled. "If they dare cross the border..."

Goldenheart heard someone plunge throught the undergrowth. Ghostkit's scent washed over her. "Ghostkit!" she ran throught the blooming trees to try to get to him. "Stop!" she yowled.

Poppytail was surprised by Ghostkits sudden outburst. Didn't he know that it was againest the warrior code for a kit to eave the camp without a warrior?
