Goldenheart watched the apprentice hurry to the fresh-kill pile. She made her way over to it as well and picked out a plump vole. After she ate she saw Poppykit leave the nursery and sniff the air.

Goldenheart told the kit to wait there, she asked her mother if she could take her kit to the forest. It was all right and they mede their way out of the camp.
