"Well," Wolfstar spoke with uncertainty. She was actually thinking the oppisite of what Flameriver was saying. She really didn't think that Badgerpaw was ready. "No, I honestly don't think that he's ready." she said softly to Flameriver.

((Can Wolfstar call Ghostmask to tell him she's leaving for a few days now?))

"Oh, uh... okay, Wolfstar. I'll make sure to work more with him." Flameriver dipped his head awkwardly and padded away to his apprentice. He'd said he'd talk to Wolfstar about the ceremony and since it wouldn't happen...
"Badgerpaw, Wolfstar doesn't think you're ready. We'll have to train twice as hard."
Badgerpaw began to bristle. He'd gone on extra patrols, volunteered for everything, and trained as hard as he possibly could. "What?" He muttered, almost growling. "But-"
"Badgerpaw." Flameriver warned. "There isn't anything you can do to change this except work harder. And that means me, too. You'll be a warrior soon."
But the apprentice didn't believe his mentor. "Right." He stalked off with his tail lashing.

((Ouch.))

Heronstripe padded over to Foxtail. "Do you know when the kits are coming?"

((xD I jumped to conclusions.))

Wolfstar jumped down from the Highrock after Flameriver padded away and called to Ghostmask to meet her in her den for a short talk.

Foxpaw padded to his new den, "Is there anything I can do, Browfur?"

Ghostmask left his son at the base of the Highrock and followed Wolfstar to her den. "Yes?" he mewed. "What is it?"

[Golden]

"Just check up on Wildflower and the other queens throughout the day. We're getting low on juniper and I want to find all that I can before it disappears completely for the remainder of leafbare. I'll be back by sunset. Then we can go over more herbs and their uses. Remember, poppy seeds for pain, juniper for bellyache, and dandelion leaves for calming." Brownfur's pace wasn't quick; the wind and snow were fighting against her. She fluffed out her fur and trudged on, gathering a few juniper berries at the Twoleg fence. She picked around the dead ones and started walking again, thankful that the forest was thicker where she was to help shield her from the wind.

[~*WOLFIE*~]

"Ghostmask, this isn't easy for me to say..." Wolfstar started. "...But I'm leaving for a little while. Probably about 5 sun rises. I...need to find my daughter." The solid black leader stared at her deputy. "I know that Moss is alive. I've had dreams about her, visions about her, and I even lost a life because my emotions toward her are so strong." She looked away, almost in tears. "Please take care of the camp while I'm gone." she said in a whisper, then padded out of her den and out of the NightClan camp, running faster and faster until she was out of sight.

[Lawl[iet]]

"Uh..." Ghostmask stammered. "Wolfstar..." He padded outside the den and looked into the forest. "Wolfstar! Come back! Wolfstar!"

[Golden]

Brownfur, still collecting herbs, was shocked to see the familiar black pelt of her leader flash by. She heard Ghostmask's call in the distance and ran to him. "Ghostmask!" She cried when she saw the deputy. "What's going on? Is Wolfstar okay?"

[Lawl[iet]]

"I don't know," he meowed. "She just ran into the forest. Go get two warriors to trail her; make sure she's okay. I need to stay here and watch the camp. It's what she asked me to do."

[Golden]

Brownfur quickly dipped her head. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a cat and ran to it, her heart pounding loudly. "Flameriver! Go trail Wolfstar. See if she's okay."
Flameriver didn't ask any questions, for he had seen Wolfstar run out of the camp.
"Maplefur, could you go too?" Brownfur asked the orange and white warrior. He nodded in response and pelted after Flameriver.

The two cats were fast. When their leader came into sight Maplefur called, "Wolfstar! Please stop! What has happened?" Neither cat knew why Wolfstar was running away. For all they knew she was never coming back. And how could they let that happen?

[~*WOLFIE*~]

Wolfstar heard voices behind her. They belonged to Flameriver and Maplefur. She kept running and called back, "I'll be back soon, I promise! Help Ghostmask run the camp, Flameriver!" The black leader kept running and hoped that all the cats of NightClan would understand that she needed to find Moss before her nine lives were used up.

Flameriver halted, his sides heaving. "There's no use. She's going to go and all we can do is pray to StarClan that she will return safely."
Maplefur murmured in agreement and the toms trotted back to camp to give word to Ghostmask.

Wildflower blinked her eyes open glancing around the nursery.

The NightClan leader padded around aimlessly for a little while. She was getting close to The Gathering spot where Moss had been before in one of her dreams. Wolfstar padded slowly into the clearing, almost expecting to find another cat, but found no one. She spotted a mouse and ran after it. It wasn't much of a fight, but at least it was some food. She layed down and ate the mouse with careful bites, to conserve it. But the fresh-kill was soon gone and the leader fell asleep, hoping to revieve another sign about where Moss would be hiding.
