NightClan RP (Book 4!)

Wolfstar lifted her head from her moss beding. "Yes, Foxpaw?" she asked.

Silvertooth gazed upon her friend as she slept. The beautiful wolf stood up and slowly padded toward Brownfur. She picked her paw up from off of the ground and placed it upon the medicine cat's forehead. Silvertooth closed her eyes and concentrated on the area around her. She opened her eyes and Brownfur was in front of her. They were at the Moonriver, gazing into the mysterious water. "I'm sorry I couldn't of just told you this in person while you were awake, but I have to obey StarClan and give prophecies while leaders and medicine cats are asleep." Silvertooth's gaze traveled from the Moonriver to the moon-lit sky. "The brown fur will blend with the natural colors of the fox." She looked back at Brownfur, closed her eyes and faded away and out of sight. Opening her eyes, she found herself back in the medicine cat's den next to the sleeping Brownfur. Silvertooth curled up next to her old friend and waited for her to wake up.

Brownfur's paw twitched. Her eyes shot open and she gasped. At first, she jumped at the sight of Silvertooth. When she realized who was in her den she almost purred. Then she remembered her dream. "S-S-Silvertooth?" She stammered.

[~*WOLFIE*~]

The wolf nodded, waiting for Brownfur to say more.

[Golden]

"I'm not supposed to talk to you about it, am I?" She murmured, understanding in her eyes. Her mind was racing. Did the prophecy mean her death? It could be that a fox was oging to kill her or that she would die and Foxpaw would become medicine cat. Brownfur really wasn't sure, but she was afraid.

[~*WOLFIE*~]

"I wish that I could tell you what it really means." Silvertooth's face was expresionless. "But unfortunetly, I may only repeat it for you."

[Golden]

“I understand,” Brownfur sighed deeply. “I’ll think about the prophecy tomorrow. I am exhaust-" Her last word was cut off by a huge yawn. She looked up at Silvertooth, her eyes happy and amused. “You wouldn’t mind if I slept a little, would you? Will you still be here when I wake up?”

[~*WOLFIE*~]

"If that is what you want." Silvertooth replied. She circled her friend a few times before finding a spot to lay down next to her. Curling up and closing her eyes, she said, "Go to sleep."

"Thanks," Mewed Brownfur. "I wish I got to see you more often." She curled up and fell asleep, nothing particular appearing in her dreams.

Foxpaw curled up and fell asleep, hoping that Brownfur would talk to Wolfstar when she woke up.

((If someone has a StarClan cat and you want to give Lightpool a life, go to Lighty's thread in CW's. It can be a cat of another Clan besides SmokeClan because there aren't many dead SmokeClan cats.))

Brownfur woke up the next morning. She stood up and stretched, feeling better after her night of sleep. "I'll be right back," She whispered to her wolf friend. She stepped out of her den, squinting her eyes at the sunlight reflecting off a thin layer of snow on the ground. Picking up each paw high as she walked to avoid tripping in the snow, the medicine cat approached Wolfstar's den. "Wolfstar? Are you in there?"

((If Silvertooth does, then Lightpool could be surprised that there is a wolf member of StarClan. And Moonfur could too.))

Silvertooth nodded as Brownfur left the medicine cat's den. She stretched and got up, looking at the small apprentice so facinated with the medicine cat's den. "You'll make a good medicine cat someday." she whispered to Foxpaw, being the only one knowing what Brownfur's prophecy meant.

Wolfstar yawned and opened her eyes to see Brownfur standing in her den. "Brownfur. Is something wrong?" she asked in a calm voice.

[Golden]

"Last night I had a dream," Brownfur began, sitting down to keep herself from shaking. Since Wolfstar was leader, she was aloud to share the dream with her. "Silvertooth was there. She told me 'The brown fur will blend with the natural colors of the fox.' I have different thoughts on this. It could mean that a fox will kill me or even that I will die and Foxpaw will become medicine cat which is something I must talk to you about. Foxpaw says that he thinks the path he should take is one of healing. I'm not opposed to mentor him, especially after thinking about all of the things the prophecy could mean. But I need you to say whether he can be my apprentice or not."

Foxpaw watched Brownfur walk up to Wolfstar's den and smiled. His jaws parted in a yawn.

Wolfstar thought about Brownfur's prophecy from Silvertooth. The brown fur will blend with the natural colors of the fox. She repeated it in her mind. "It could mean either one." she finally said. "But if it is the will of StarClan for Foxpaw to be the medicine cat one day, then I can't argue. I will make him your apprentice soon."

[Golden]

"Thank you, Wolfstar." The brown she-cat dipped her head to her leader and trotted back to her den. She nodded at Foxpaw and meowed, "It'll happen soon!"

Foxpaw squeeked and did a flip in the air. "Thank you so much Brownfur!" He ran excitedly over and toold his mother and sister the news. They looked happy for him and he scuttled back to Brownfur. "When's soon?" He purred, "I can hardly wait!"

[Golden]

"I'm not exactly sure of the time, but probably within the next few days. I'm glad you're excited." The brown medicine cat purred. She was going to have an apprentice!

"Okay," he mewed, "But when do I move into the medicine den?"

((I just wanted to let everyone know that Wolfstar will be dying around the second week of December. Does anyone have any ideas about what will happen? And I want her to find Moss before she dies. That will probably be after she makes Foxpaw the medicine cat apprentice. ))
